Lanthanum gallium silicate (LGS) crystals are a novel piezoelectric material with broad prospects in the manufacturing of surface acoustic wave (SAW) and bulk acoustic wave (BAW) devices. At the same time, LGS crystals can be used to make electro-optic Q-switches. Devices made from LGS crystals exhibit high thermal stability.
Lanthanum gallium silicate (LGS) crystals are a type of high-performance, multifunctional crystal. LGS crystals have significantly higher dielectric, elastic, and piezoelectric constants than quartz, and their electromechanical coupling coefficient is 2-3 times that of quartz. They can be used to manufacture surface acoustic wave (SAW) and bulk acoustic wave (BAW) devices. Simultaneously, LGS crystals can be used to make electro-optic Q-switches, with performance comparable to DKDP crystal Q-switches. Devices using LGS crystals as a material exhibit high thermal stability.
